Environment
Our commitment to environmental and sustainable practices includes energy saving practices and looking for new ways to reduce our environmental footprint.
We’re surrounded by natural beauty from our beaches to national parks. We actively work to promote our natural environment for generations to come. As leaders in sustainable practices, we proudly hold silver level membership with the NSW Government in Sustainability Advantage Program.
The buildings and grounds at the club consider the environment with how we use and reuse our natural resources. From solar panels and best-in-class voltage power optimisation (VPO) technology to improving and optimising our electrical supply to commercial water tanks and solar hot water, we’re dedicated to reducing our impact.
Some of our other initiatives include:
- Food for fairways program; reducing landfill and wastage
- Carpeted/synthetic bowling green; saving on water and chemical usage
- Water harvesting and re-use
- Hand-washing sensor taps, LED lighting and motion detectors
- Recycling, re-using and re-purposing
- Staff education and training
- Reducing our Carbon footprint
Crescent Head Country Club was recognised for the significant positive impact in the community by contributing to improving the social, cultural, financial & environmental wellbeing in the community.
