Our application was successful because it supported community orientated benefits and pracitcal on-the-ground works. The funds were used to install a synthetic (Carpet) green and will save in excess of 2 million litres of water annually. In addition to the water benefits it will also elimate the need for pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers.

The Water grant programme attracted a total of 5791 applications.

The International Standard Green will also encompass sunshade protection, lighting for night-play, seating and security fencing.
